Beetlejuice hasĀ been a long time favorite of mine. So when I saw these awesome costumes I had to share. They were made by Eddi Wilson. When I asked about how she came up with the idea this is what she said:
“I made these costumes for my friends. I’ll be going as a female Beetlejuice this year and we wanted to do a group costume. They’re from the scene in the movie where Adam and Barbara Maitland are trying to figure out how to scare their unwanted occupants away. The masks are made out of paper mache clay over cardboard frames, then painted with acrylic. The details like the teeth and eyes are made with modeling clay. The clothes are a combination of things we had in our closet and a cheap plaid shirt from the mall. The whole process took me a couple evenings of messing around with the frames and such, and then 2 weekends of fairly committed work. I probably put in about 15 hours total work from start to finish, not including time spent waiting for the paper mache clay to dry”
